The Masks We Wear
We wear masks for many reasons, good and bad. We wear them to hide our identity, or become someone else for a little while. Festivities and Holidays such as Halloween and Masquerade Balls are chances to become what you want to reflect, a villain, a princess, a prince, or maybe even a monster, usually just for fun, but sometimes I wonder what the mask we choose really says about us.
2016 New Year, New Beginnings
While doing yoga one morning on vacation, my instructor asked me to set an intention for my practice. She noted that we all tend to be hard on ourselves and judge others harshly, and shared some words of wisdom, “Live in the moment and ground yourself onto the earth to find that connection between body and spirit.”
Season of Giving
I was having a tough time trying to come up with this month’s blog as there is so much to write about this time of year. I started to write about how Christmas has become such a commercialized holiday and how we have all lost the true spirit of giving – until I received this message on Facebook:
Living With Lyme
If someone would have told me six years ago I would be suffering from Chronic Lyme disease (or PTLDS) I would have said they were crazy, especially since I knew very little about the disease. Not only did I get Lyme more than five years ago, I have been suffering the side effects ever since. My life will never be the same.
